To provide some context and clarity on the situation, this is on the border close to Queensland which isn’t in lock down and has hardly been in lockdown the whole period.
However, many folks live on one side of the border and work on the other hence the area is called the ‘twin towns’ (Tweed Heads [NSW]/Coolangatta [QLD]). To give you some perspective of how ridiculous it is, quite literally on one side of the street is one state and the other side the other state, this winds all through the area. Even the airport is split down the middle of the runway with it being in both states. So, when they talk about folks not being able to see, support, work etc that is because 450 miles away in Sydney they have decided to lock down the whole state irrespective that there are no cases in this region. Thus, the push back from residents.

The dotted line is the border and you can move the map around to get an idea of some of the issues.
