Scott Perry who objected to his own state\u2019s electoral votes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The objection was rejected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">NEW: Rep. Josh Hawley object Pennsylvania&#39;s electoral votes for President-elect Biden, causing the joint session of Congress to move to debate for up to two hours. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/geF9g5SfgV\">pic.twitter.com\/geF9g5SfgV<\/a><\/p>&mdash; PBS NewsHour (@NewsHour) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NewsHour\/status\/1347052842268438531?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 7, 2021<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>An objection to Arizona lost in House and Senate votes earlier in the evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier in the day, after it became clear that Pence would not be standing with Trump voters, the president blasted him on Twitter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMike Pence didn\u2019t have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution, giving States a chance to certify a corrected set of facts, not the fraudulent or inaccurate ones which they were asked to previously certify,\u201d Trump wrote. \u201cUSA demands the truth!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>President Trump also called him out during his speech on Wednesday afternoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMike Pence, I hope you\u2019re going to stand up for the good of our Constitution and for the good of our country,\u201d Trump said during his speech in DC. \u201cAnd if you\u2019re not, I\u2019m going to be very disappointed in you. I\u2019m going to tell you right now.
