How do you begin to enforce that?\u201d asked PBS \u201cNewsHour\u201d correspondent Amna Nawaz on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSo, you ask one of the most important questions. You can\u2019t enforce that,\u201d Grisham confessed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThere is no way, anywhere in the country, we\u2019re going to be able to say, look, you brought another household together. There [were] ten of you having Thanksgiving dinner. But we are hopeful that people will really take heed.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite Grisham imposing a mask mandate across her state in May, COVID cases in New Mexico have spiked in recent weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Grisham\u2019s admission comes as several Democrat leaders in America are calling for Thanksgiving gatherings to be cancelled, with the threat of arrest and fines if people don\u2019t comply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, earlier this week Oregon Gov. Kate Brown (D) <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.infowars.com\/posts\/19806\/\" target=\"_blank\">threatened 30 days in jail<\/a> and a fine of $1250 for violators of her Thanksgiving restrictions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Our cases in Oregon have doubled in the last two weeks,&#8221; says Gov.
