{"id":2179,"date":"2020-10-09T21:01:34","date_gmt":"2020-10-09T10:01:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/unshackledminds.com\/?p=2179"},"modified":"2020-10-09T21:05:16","modified_gmt":"2020-10-09T10:05:16","slug":"special-report-hotel-quarantine-cover-up-buries-the-truth-credlin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/unshackledminds.com\/special-report-hotel-quarantine-cover-up-buries-the-truth-credlin\/","title":{"rendered":"SPECIAL REPORT: Hotel Quarantine \u2018Cover-Up\u2019 Buries the Truth: Credlin"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/SkyNewsAustralia\"><\/a><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCO0akufu9MOzyz3nvGIXAAw\" target=\"_blank\">Sky News Australia<\/a> &#8211; Oct 9, 2020<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"nv-iframe-embed\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"SPECIAL REPORT: Hotel quarantine \u2018cover-up\u2019 buries the truth: Credlin\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Q5FukWhq-ns?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Sky News host Peta Credlin says there has been an attempt to cover up the truth of who ordered the use of private security in the bungled hotel quarantine inquiry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ms Credlin has poured through fresh evidence today tendered to the hotel quarantine inquiry and has traced the decision to use private security back to Premier Daniel Andrews\u2019 private office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThere are further serious questions facing the Victorian Premier, Daniel Andrews, his ministers and the Inquiry into Hotel Quarantine,\u201d Ms Credlin said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAt the heart of it, I believe there has been an attempt to cover up the truth in relation to fateful decision to use private security, instead of police and defence force personnel, to guard Melbourne\u2019s quarantine hotels that the Chief Health Officer Brett Sutton confirmed in his media appearance again today, directly led to Victoria\u2019s second wave and as proven by genomic testing, the deaths of almost 800 Victorians.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ms Credlin said evidence showed that there was no \u201ccreeping assumption\u201d but a direct decision to use private security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThere is no doubt a real decision was made here \u2013 and no creeping assumption \u2013 because again in the Victoria Police submission today and the former Commissioner\u2019s earlier evidence, at 1.22 he tells his federal counterpart, Victoria Police won\u2019t be running hotel quarantine security that instead, Victoria will use private security,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNow here is what I believe it critically important and that until now, until tonight, has received very little scrutiny.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAt paragraph 34 of the Victoria Police closing submission, it says this, that at 1.19pm, so inside the critical six minute window where Graham Ashton goes from being uptight about the use of Victoria Police officers as hotel guards to telling this federal counterpart that it won\u2019t be us, it will be private security and it\u2019s a special deal set up by DPC.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The message read: \u201cAt 1.19pm a staff member from the Premier\u2019s Private Office (PPO) sent a text message to Mr Ada, Deputy Secretary (DPC) referring to security\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ms Credlin said the name of the staff member had been redacted from evidence but the revelations pose \u201cserious questions for the Premier, his office and indeed the very conduct of Inquiry\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCO0akufu9MOzyz3nvGIXAAw\" target=\"_blank\">Sky News Australia<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sky News Australia &#8211; Oct 9, 2020 Sky News host Peta Credlin says there has been an attempt to cover up the truth of who ordered the use of private security in the bungled hotel quarantine inquiry.
