To me, it seems the problem of coronavirus defectors could be solved by moral enhancement: like receiving a vaccine to beef up your immune system, people could take a substance to boost their cooperative, pro-social behavior. Could a psychoactive pill be the solution to the pandemic? -Parker Crutchfield, <a href=\"https:\/\/theconversation.com\/morality-pills-may-be-the-uss-best-shot-at-ending-the-coronavirus-pandemic-according-to-one-ethicist-142601\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>The Conversation<\/em><\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>This authoritarian approach to pacifying the public when atrocities are committed against them was <a href=\"https:\/\/theconversation.com\/morality-pills-may-be-the-uss-best-shot-at-ending-the-coronavirus-pandemic-according-to-one-ethicist-142601\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">published earlier this week in <em>The Conversation<\/em>,<\/a> a news site focusing on content \u201csourced from the academic and research community\u201d and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/theconversation.com\/uk\/partners\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">supported<\/a>&nbsp;by universities from around the world.&nbsp;<em>The Conversation<\/em>&nbsp;lists a number of U.K. universities as its \u201cfounding partners.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>In the article, Parker Crutchfield argues that \u201c[w]hen someone chooses not to follow public health guidelines around the coronavirus, they\u2019re defecting from the public good\u201d and that such \u201cdefectors\u201d require chemical \u201cmoral enhancement\u201d substances to help them \u201creason about what the right thing to do is.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfnews.org.uk\/united-states-professor-psychoactive-pill-should-be-covertly-administered-to-ensure-lockdown-compliance\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>-CFNews<\/em><\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTo me, it seems the problem of coronavirus defectors could be solved by moral enhancement: like receiving a vaccine to beef up your immune system, people could take a substance to boost their cooperative, pro-social behavior. Could a psychoactive pill be the solution to the pandemic?\u201d Crutchfield writes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to make sure people follow the commands of tyrants, even against all evidence, logic, and morality, Crutchfield says the \u201cpsychoactive pill\u201d that would manufacture and ensure lockdown compliance should be \u201ccovertly administered\u201d in the water supply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As some have argued, a solution would be to make moral enhancement compulsory or administer it secretly, perhaps via the water supply. These actions require weighing other values,\u201d he writes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But that\u2019s been done to the public before by the government they were brainwashed to trust:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.shtfplan.com\/headline-news\/the-true-history-of-fluoridation-toxicity-was-hidden-and-lied-about-by-the-government_02052018\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The TRUE History Of Fluoridation: Toxicity Was Hidden And LIED ABOUT By The Government<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There\u2019s a good chance that this is already bein done, considering not many have stood up to it. If you don\u2019t have<a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2YmGYZU\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> a good water filter,<\/a> I suggest you get one and start using it all the time. We all need to stop trusting that the water is safe. If this as even suggested with little backlash, it\u2019s safe to say it\u2019s either been tried before or already being done. Apparently, when the public doesn\u2019t like acting like slaves, the solution is not to release the authoritarian grip on their throats, but to drug them.
