Victorians hoping to avoid quarantine upon returning home from Sydney have missed the deadline as borders slammed shut this morning.
Anyone arriving from Greater Sydney or the Central Coast will now be required to undergo 14 days of hotel quarantine.
Victoria has deployed 700 police to patrol the border, with a request lodged for additional ADF support to assist planning the logistics and surveillance of the operation.
