The Australian Parliament votes AGAINST free & informed consent for medical interventions

    Craig Kelly – Nov 30, 2021

Craig Kelly MP sought to move amendments to the National Health Act 1953 to enshrine in law that ‘free and informed consent’ is required for all medical interventions – and to outlaw all forms of coercion and threats of prejudice or disadvantage if the person does not consent.

Both Liberal & Labor all voted against the proposal – and Mr Kelly was the only member of Parliament to vote for it.
