Sky News host Paul Murray says “an announcement a day keeps the inquiry away” when it comes to Daniel Andrews in Victoria.
On Sunday Daniel Andrews announced Victoria will be “united as one single state” from midnight, as he discussed a range of changes to restrictions.
“The 25km travel limit will go, the Melbourne and regional Victoria border comes down and families will be able to be together again,” Mr Andrews said during a press conference on Sunday.
“The ring of steel border comes down tonight.”
Also announced was an increase in venue capacity, with 40 inside and 70 outside.
Funerals, faith gatherings and care facility visits all have increased capacities.
Mr Andrews said face masks will remain compulsory and public gatherings will stay at 10 people.
Discussing Mr Andrews’ handling of the coronavirus pandemic in the state, Sky News contributor Michael Kroger said “Andrews bungling of this is something that will live on in everyone’s memory forever”.
