Sam Newman has controversially called on Melburnians to reclaim the streets of Australia’s most infected state – described as an “expression of desperation for our sanity”.
On Sunday night the media personality put out the call on Twitter to his thousands of followers for 250,000 people to gather in Melbourne CBD as protesters clashed with police in the streets of Broadmeadows.
