I have also talked with a nuclear sub captain, a navy admiral, two GPS engineers and have had personal experience that has proven this over time. Weapons systems, communications systems (my background for 14 years), radar, surveying and the list goes on. None of them in their daily activities accounted for a curvature that if it was there, none of what they did with the equipment and software they used would work. If there was curvature, software and systems would have not worked properly or at all.
