National Cabinet to consider calls for three dose fully vaccinated status

    Sky News Australia – Dec 21, 2021

National Cabinet is expected to consider whether Australians should be required to get three doses of a COVID vaccine to be deemed fully vaccinated when it holds an emergency meeting on Wednesday.

Several states are pushing for the time between the booster shot and the second shot to be brought forward from five months to four months amid a new spread of COVID spreads across the country off the back of Omicron strain.

The Prime Minister has reconvened National Cabinet for Wednesday and it’s understood that on the agenda will be the possibility of Australians having a three dose as opposed to a two dose vaccination schedule to be considered fully vaccinated.

It is understood ATAGI is considering this and would bring Australia in line with other countries like Israel, the United States and Singapore.
