Israel approves fourth COVID vaccine dose

    Sky News Australia – Jan 3, 2022

Israel has approved a fourth COVID vaccine dose for citizens aged 60 and older as well as for frontline medical staff.

Those eligible will be able to receive their second booster four months after receiving their third jab.

It follows a decision from health officials last week to approve the fourth dose for those most vulnerable to COVID – including those with weakened immune systems.

A hospital near Tel Aviv launched trials just before New Year’s and administered a fourth jab to 150 medical personnel.

Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett believes a second booster will enable to country to remain open through its Omicron wave.
