Thereafter the Khazars found themselves in a precarious position between the two major world powers: the Eastern Roman Empire in Byzantium and the triumphant followers of Mohammed. As Arthur Koestler points out, the Khazars were the Third World of their day, and they chose a surprising method of resisting both the Western pressure to become Christian and the Eastern to adopt Islam. Rejecting both, they converted to Judaism.

Well, Khazar kingdom was much bigger than you wrote. In 20s yy 20 century on territory of Ukraine, Kuban and Belorussia archeological research was conducted and found proofs that Khazar kingdom was between Black sea and Baltic sea and between Danube River and Volga River. And this Khazar kingdom is biblical Israel. Stalin wanted to hide this information and thats why exactly after stopping archeological research in 30s he created genocide of famine on Kuban, Ukraine and Belorussia. The places where all these archeological artefacts were found were flooded with water (Kyiv, Kaniv, Tsimliansk, etc), researchers were killed, Khazar researches and books were forbidden. Stalin also changed line “religion” in the passport into line “nationality” and started to persecute jews in order they leave USSR and go to new state created by stalin and called Israel. Israel is in fact arab land occupied by european jews. Stalin forced jews to believe in lie but truth can’t be hidden forever
