AstraZeneca has announced stage three vaccine trials backed by the Australian government will resume after being paused for a few days when one volunteer suffered an adverse reaction.
Oxford-based researchers for AstraZeneca will now continue the study after efforts were voluntarily paused when one participant out of roughly 18,000 experienced side-effects.
The Australian government says it has reached a deal with AstraZeneca to buy enough vaccines for the whole country’s population if the trials prove successful.
